Ivan Navarro
The LadderLocated in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, Navarro’s The Ladder stretches to the 12th story of a highly visible mixed-use building. Meant to mimic the urban iconography of fire escape, this artwork is as etherial as it is massive.
Let There Be Neon was consulted to develop and produce the artwork, under the creative direction of Navarro himself. As point person, I contributed extensively to the design, and coordinated with arichitects, engineers, and the general contractor to guarantee the safe installation of the steel and glass structure.
